Pictures of his failed attempt as a besotted schoolboy to present a rose to his film idol Megan Fox as she made a red carpet appearance went globally viral and sparked hundreds of memes.
Now, 16 years on, MailOnline has tracked down that crushed boy whose sad expression as the actress swept past him without apparently noticing him broke hearts around the world.
And we can reveal that Harvey Kindlon, now a 26-year-old marketing executive, has amazingly continued his superfan interest in female stars like Fox.
Over the years since his Fox-snub, it’s understood that Harvey has met an extraordinary number of very famous female celebrities, including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé.
And he has met Adele an incredible nine times.
Harvey also wrote his university dissertation on a nineties female music legend, writing of his time at Southampton University: ‘My proudest achievement was receiving a first for my dissertation, discussing how Lauryn Hill single-handedly redefined the male-dominated conventions of hip-hop music and culture.’
So besotted is he with such diva-like stars that friends routinely refer to him as ‘queen’ like so many of them in reaction to his posts.
But, we can reveal, Harvey never did meet Fox, who he described as a ‘pop-culture icon’ – thanks to a strange twist of fate.

Harvey, then 11, was snubbed by Fox at the London Premier of the Transformers film in 2009 and such was the outcry that followed the image of him trying and failing to give her a yellow rose she was forced to address the issue publicly
Megan apologised for appearing to have ignored the youngster and blamed the noise and the camera flashes of the surrounding media for her failure to notice him and accept his flower.
The star, who was 23 at the time, said: ‘I feel so sad for him. That’s so terrible. That kills me.’
In a personal message to Harvey, Megan said: ‘I’m sorry sweet boy. I would never to that to you and I would gladly accept your rose if I see you again.
‘The paparazzi would not let you to me. I’m so embarrassed.’
To capitalise on the huge interest in the story, then still wealthy film company Kodak stepped up to arrange a stunt in which Harvey would be flown to New York to be photographed giving Fox her rose and her accepting it.
Harvey actually flew to New York at Kodak’s expense as planned but as he was landing news began to break of the shock death of Micheal Jackson.
Realising that this huge showbusiness story would dominate the news agenda for weeks and scupper any chances of positive publicity for them, Kodak cancelled the stunt at the last minute.

When we tracked down Harvey to his rented flat in South London, he was very modest and declined to discuss his globetrotting superfan lifestyle.
He would only say: ‘I’ve had a good life.’
But we can reveal how after finishing school Harvey studied business for two years at the Fashion Retail Academy in the City of London and gained a National Diploma in Business and Fashion.
At this graduation in 2016 he thanked the close friends he had made.
In an online post he wrote: ‘I’m currently at my graduation leaving the FRA [Fashion Retail Academy]. I couldn’t think of better people to spend it with.
‘Thank you for being the most amazing friends I’ve ever met.’
Harvey went on to enrol at Solent University in Southampton on a three-year course in Music Promotion, graduating with a second-class Bachelor of Arts degree.

Next, he began working in the music management business. But Harvey has often found time to travel the world.
He has posted pictures on his social media of himself on beaches and jungles in Thailand, by landmarks in Mexico, sipping cocktails by a pool in Bali, Indonesia, taking a bike ride by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, visiting Sex In The City character Carrie Bradshaw Manhattan apartment in New York City and holding a glass of wine at a bar in Berlin.
Underneath a pictures of him sitting in a noisy Salsa bar in Colombia, Harvey wrote: ‘[I] hiked the mountains, swam the beaches, tripped in the jungle, became obsessed with papa rellena [stuffed potato snacks], caught heatstroke, confronted an attempted murderer, fell in love, suffered 1,000 monstrous mosquito bites, got robbed by the police, impressed the Latinas [Colombian women] with my hips [dancing] and lost my sanity.
As Harvey repeated, as he stood outside his flat in south London; ‘I’ve had a good life.’
