Rare combo of Perseid meteors and aurora for Massachusetts

OVERNIGHT. DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS? YEAH. I MEAN, LAST NIGHT WAS SOMETHING. IF YOU HAPPEN TO CATCH IT, A LOT OF PEOPLE SENDING IN PICTURES OF THEIR VIEW OF THE SKY LAST NIGHT, WHICH INCLUDED THE NORTHERN LIGHTS, THIS PICTURE WAS SENT IN BY CHRIS IN NORTH ATTLEBORO, TAKEN FROM HER BACK DOOR AT 222 IN THE MORNING. LOOK AT THAT COLOR IN THE SKY. AND THIS IS JUST THE NORTHERN LIGHTS, THE AURORA BOREALIS KIND OF FLARED UP LAST NIGHT, AND IT MAY DO THAT AGAIN TONIGHT. WE’VE HAD ONE OF THESE CORONAL MASS EJECTIONS CMES GOING BY. AND IT BASICALLY IS PASSED BY EARTH. AND IT’S CREATED A GEOMAGNETIC STORM. AND WE MEASURED A LEVEL OF AN EIGHT, WHICH IS PRETTY INTENSE. SO THE ACTIVITY IS REALLY UP THERE RIGHT NOW. IT’LL BE COMING DOWN INTO TONIGHT, BUT WE MAY STILL GET A VIEW OF THE NORTHERN LIGHTS TONIGHT. AND THEN YOU CAN SEE THE NEXT COUPLE OF NIGHTS. OUR CHANCES KIND OF GO BY. SO WE’RE LOOKING FOR THAT IN OUR SKIES TONIGHT. WE’RE ALSO STILL LOOKING FOR A FEW SHOOTING STARS BECAUSE THE ANNUAL PERSEID METEOR SHOWER IS STILL GOING ON. IT DID PEAK LAST NIGHT INTO THIS MORNING, BUT IT’S GOING ON THROUGH SEPTEMBER FIRST, SO IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME IF YOU WANT TO KIND OF STAY UP TONIGHT NIGHT AND GIVE THE SKY A LOOK TO SEE, YOU MIGHT CATCH EITHER OF THESE THINGS IN THE NIGHT SKY OVERNIGH
