Glen Powell is truly unrecognizable in new role based off of Eli Manning
Glen Powell is turning heads in a new way.
The actor is truly unrecognizable in his latest role for the upcoming Hulu comedy “Chad Powers.” The first image of him as the titular character was released on Aug. 22, showing the charming leading man in a long, shaggy, brown wig, what appears to be a prosthetic nose and wearing athleisure.

People in the comments section of Powell’s Instagram post couldn’t believe it was him.
“THAT IS NOT GLEN POWELL THATS PLEN GOWELL,” one person wrote, while another added, “Thought this was Tom cruise lmao.”
Another person commented, “Nice to see David Arquette make a comeback.”
What is ‘Chad Powers’ about?
The show, which has officially started production, follows Powell as a “hotshot” quarterback Russ Holliday, whose bad behavior nukes his college career. The athlete then decides to disguises himself “and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers,” per the show’s synopsis.
“Chad Powers” is inspired by Eli Mannings’ 2022 sketch in which he goes undercover as Chad Powers to experience what it’s like to try out for the Penn State football team.
The sketch was produced by NFL Films and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. It aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series.
Who else stars in ‘Chad Powers’?
Aside from Powell, the “Chad Powers” cast includes Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett and Frankie A. Rodriguez, according to IMDB.
When does ‘Chad Powers’ premiere?
As of Aug. 22, the show has just started production. No release date has been announced at this time.
