A mystery woman has been publicly shamed on New York’s Upper East Side for allegedly not picking up her dog’s poop from the sidewalk.
On Tuesday afternoon, rogue posters started appearing in the ritzy Big Apple neighborhood, blasting the unnamed woman who walked with a pup by her side.
The poster read: ‘Do you know her? She let’s (sic) her dog poop on the street and refuses to pick it up,’ along with the black and white image.
She appeared wearing a Chanel bag, with a baseball hat and a chic sweater wrapped around her shoulders while walking her dog – while seemingly shouting in the direction of the photographer.
Locals, who have noted an uptick in animal feces plaguing their streets in recent months, have taken to public shaming to identify the woman and bring her to justice.
Speaking to Daily Mail, one Upper East Sider expressed her outrage with the excretion issue: ‘Just pick up, come on be civilized.’
Anthony Sarra, another local, disagreed with the posters, saying: ‘I think to attack someone’s character like that is wrong. But people should pick up’
One woman, who gave her name as Nadia, told Daily Mail that the problem has been persistent for some time: ‘Most people are good about it but, I’ve noticed it’s a problem for years.

‘Sometimes people forget their bags, it’s hard to tell if it’s really wrong.’
Others welcomed the public shaming – with one adding: ‘It’s about time. There are lots of dog droppings around.’
The poster first surfaced on social media – with thousands of people reacting to it.
Some pointed out that the woman, whose mouth was ajar in the image, looked slightly perplexed – as did her dog: ‘Even her dog is like “yah I don’t know her…”‘
While another user claimed to have had a first person encounter with her: ‘I’ve seen her, actually. I picked up her dog’s poo because she nonchalantly walked away.’
And a third offered a new type of retribution: ‘I say collect the poop and leave it at her doorstep and let them know it was a community cleanup action and her items were being brought back to her.’
