Partial closure of Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel this weekend; several other closure
Highway 25 will be closed to northbound traffic this Friday night, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility announced Monday.
The closure will affect the stretch between Exit 5 (Route 138, Sherbrooke St., Yves-Prévost Blvd.) and the entrance from Yves-Prévost Blvd., from 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
The entrances from Hochelaga St. and Sherbrooke E. St. will be closed 30 minutes before the highway closure.

The ministry said that the closure was necessary in order to reconfigure the entrance from Sherbrooke E. St. and the two northbound lanes of Highway 25 in the area.
The Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel will remain open during the week of Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.
Several other closures are also planned during the week:
Highway 25 Southbound
- The access ramp from Sherbrooke E. St. will be closed during the nights of 12:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
- The access ramp from Des Futailles St. will be closed from 12:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
Curatteau St
- Closure of Curatteau St. northbound between Tellier and Hochelaga Sts. from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. everyday this week from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3.
- Closure of Curatteau St. northbound between Notre-Dame St. and exit 3 of Highway 25 northbound, from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
Souligny Ave
Souligny Ave. will be closed westbound between Honoré-Beaugrand St. and the southbound Highway 25 access ramp from 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3 for paving work.
