35-year-old woman struck in hit-and-run in Montreal’s East End


A woman was injured in a hit-and-run in Montreal’s East End on Tuesday night.

Several calls were made to 911 around 6:30 p.m. about a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Broadway Ave., near Prince-Albert Street.

Officials say the 35-year-old woman was found conscious with injuries to her legs. She was transported to hospital, where she is in stable condition.

Police say the vehicle was going southbound on Broadway Ave. when the driver hit the pedestrian.

The 20-year-old driver was later found by police and arrested for hit-and-run causing bodily harm.

The investigation is ongoing.
