Graeter’s Ice Cream introduces new look, new tagline and holiday flavors

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Graeter’s Ice Cream fans can look for new packaging in the freezer case.

Shoppers will see that the signature maroon color returns to prominence, complemented by elegant patterns and a new crown icon symbolizing both Cincinnati—the Queen City—and the company’s “royalty” in the world of ice cream, explained the company in a statement.

“We’ve always believed that being the ‘Graetest’ means doing things our way – the right way – even when shortcuts exist,” said Richard Graeter, fourth-generation president and CEO, in a press release.

“Our rebrand honors everything in our past while confidently looking ahead to the next generation of ice cream lovers.”

The familiar cursive logo remains but has been polished for modern use, paired with a new tagline: “Taste the Graetest.”

Despite the package changes, the company continues to make its ice cream two and a half gallons at a time using its signature French Pot method.

The new look will appear gradually across scoop shops, grocery shelves and advertising over the next year. It debuts this week on Graeter’s website, social media and app, as well as on packaging for its new Holiday Flavor Collection.

This year’s holiday lineup introduces three new, limited-time flavors:

  • Cozy Hot Cocoa: Rich chocolate swirled with gooey marshmallow for the taste of fireside cocoa.
  • Crème Brûlée: Velvety vanilla custard with caramelized sugar crunch.
  • Spirited Eggnog: Spiced eggnog with notes of rum, bourbon and brandy, finished with nutmeg.

A six-pint holiday pack ($84.95, plus shipping) also includes two pints of the returning fan favorite Peppermint Stick and the signature Black Raspberry Chip—a Graeter’s staple for generations.
