Montreal police seek 3 suspects of hate crime allegations
Montreal police (SPVM) are asking for the public’s help to identify three suspects in connection with alleged hate crimes and assault last month.
According to SPVM, the three suspects – all men aged around 20 – confronted two Black individuals with racist insults before a fight broke out.
“The suspects violently assaulted the two victims, throwing them to the ground and punching and kicking them. One of the suspects then allegedly threatened to stab the victims by reaching for his shoulder bag,” the police said.
The alleged incident happened on Oct. 12 around 9:05 p.m. in front of Montréal Museum of Fine Arts on Sherbrooke Street West, near the intersection of Crescent Street in downtown Montreal.
SPVM said that during the altercation, the suspects told the victims that they were of Arab origin.
The suspects were said to be wearing white T-shirts and black pants.
• First suspect: He is approximately 5’7″ (170 cm) tall and weighs 176 lb (80 kg). He has black hair and was wearing a gray shirt over his white T-shirt.

- Second suspect: He is believed to be 180 cm (5′ 11″) tall and weigh 80 kg (176 lb). He has black hair and was carrying a black shoulder bag.

- Third suspect: He is believed to be 170 cm (5′ 7″) tall and weigh 70 kg (154 lb). He has curly black hair and was wearing a black shoe on his right foot and a white shoe on his left foot.
