Blue Bell offers a sneak peek at a new product coming later this year

Blue Bell is giving an early peek at a new product bowing later this year for those who want more protein in their daily diet.

Blue Bell PRO pints promise up to 12 grams of protein per serving, and 33 to 35 grams of protein per pint, according to the company.

The ice cream is slated to arrive in stores this spring in five flavors – vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and salted caramel.

According to the company, each pint is high in fiber, low in fat, with no added sugars and between 100 to 110 calories per serving.

More details will be released when the new product line launches later this year.

Blue Bell has an ice cream plant in Sylacauga.

Last year, Blue Bell announced its plans to phase out the use of synthetic dyes.
