Pillsbury Brought Back A Popular Limited-Edition Cinnamon Roll For Spring

What’s doughy, flaky, and packed full of cinnamon? Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls, of course. The energetic Doughboy is back with a returning, limited-edition flavor that’s just right for spring.

Recently spotted by Instagram user @snackolator at Walmart: the Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls with Strawberry and Cream Icing. The classic Grands! cinnamon rolls get a fruity twist with a strawberry and cream cheese-flavored icing with a light pink hue.

This isn’t the first time these rolls have made an appearance in grocery stores, with posts online from 2024 and 2020 mentioning the limited-time treat in stores. However, the packaging still advertises, “limited edition,” so the rolls won’t be around for for long.

The strawberry icing cinnamon rolls come in a 17.5-ounce can containing five large rolls. Simply, “place, bake, and spread,” and these fluffy rolls are ready in 27 minutes or less. The cans are currently available for purchase on Walmart’s website for $4.48, but are most likely available at other grocery retailers, although it’s always good to check with your local grocery store first.

Fans online and on social media are a bit divided on these strawberry treats. Some commented general anticipation and desire to try the rolls on @snackolator’s post with one saying, “They might be onto something with the strawberries & cream icing cinnamon rolls, 🤤 🍓” and another, “I want to try the cinnamon rolls!”

While others would have liked to have seen more strawberry. One reviewer on Instacart commented, “I got these thinking there was strawberry throughout this cinnamon roll, but no, only in the flavored glaze. They’re still good, but there should be some extra special fruit swirled inside or worked inside the dough itself.”

You’ll have to try them for yourself to see which side of the debate you fall on. With how much fans love the fall pumpkin spice version of these rolls, it’s a safe bet that the strawberry ones would be just as good, but you never know until you try.
