Old Town Churn, Constellation, Sweet Cooie's ice cream shops to be rebranded

In a rebranding move, Little Man Ice Cream Company unites three Colorado shops under its brand, aiming for growth while preserving local charm.

DENVER — Three Colorado ice cream shops will have a new name.

Little Man Ice Cream Company announced it will rebrand Denver shops Sweet Cooie’s and Constellation, and Fort Collins’ Old Town Churn, under the Little Man brand, in May.

Since opening in 2008, Little Man Ice Cream has expanded to 11 locations across the Front Range.

Sweet Cooie’s in Denver will rebrand as Little Man Ice Cream Congress Park, and Constellation will be renamed Little Man Ice Cream Central Park. Old Town Churn will relaunch as Little Man Ice Cream Fort Collins.

“More than just a name change, this move allows the homegrown company to preserve the architecture and character of these neighborhood-staple locations, while ensuring a consistent experience for consumers, setting the stage for continued growth and expansion in Colorado and beyond,” Little Man Ice Cream said in a statement.

“The nostalgic look that makes this shop so beloved is part of our Little Man brand,” said Little Man Ice Cream founder Paul Tamburello. “We’re simply modifying certain design elements to unify them with our other Little Man shops, allowing for a more cohesive experience no matter where you enjoy your scoop.”

Little Man Ice Cream Company said it will have celebration events with free scoops at the newly rebranded locations:

  • Little Man Ice Cream Central Park — Friday, May 15, 2 p.m. to close
  • Little Man Ice Cream Congress Park — Saturday, May 16, 12 p.m. to close
  • Little Man Ice Cream, Fort Collins — Sunday, May 17, 12 p.m. to close

“As we’ve expanded in Colorado, opening new locations, offering wholesale, catering, and soon shipping nationwide, we’ve learned just how important it is to have a consistent brand identity wherever the customer finds us,” said Sarah Marie, Director of Sales and Marketing for Little Man Ice Cream. “This rebranding effort allows us to better share our Colorado roots and values, and creates alignment across our stores, allowing us to focus on growth and expansion in Colorado and beyond.”

“The last thing we want is to become another cookie-cutter chain without a soul,” said Tamburello. “As we continue to grow, we still plan on embracing the showstopping designs that have made our stores roadside attractions, and we’ll still continue to invest in community-driven, immersive experiences that become synonymous with visiting Little Man Ice Cream locations.”
