FIRST TRIP TO CHINA SINCE 2017. TODAY, SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN STAPLE RETURNS OSCARS FROZEN CUSTARD IN BROOKFIELD HELD A GRAND RE-OPENING LAST HOUR. 18 MONTHS AFTER A FIRE DESTROYED THE BUILDING, THE SUPPORT FROM THE COMMUNITY HAS JUST BEEN OUTSTANDING AND I REALLY THINK THAT’S THE PUSH THAT GOT US THROUGH THIS BECAUSE WE HAD NO IDEA HOW MUCH WE WENT TO THE COMMUNITY UNTIL WE RECEIVED SO MANY KIND MESSAGES FROM THEM SAYING HOW MUCH THEY MISSED OSCARS, AND THAT OSCARS WAS A MEMORY MAKER FOR THEM, NOT JUST A RESTAURANT. THE RESTAURANT ON MORELAND BOULEVARD NEAR SWENSON DRIVE BURNED TO THE GROUND IN NOVEMBER 2024, BUT TODAY IT’S BACK OPEN. OSCARS WILL BE OPEN FROM 10:30

A southeast Wisconsin staple has reopened. Oscar’s Frozen Custard in Brookfield held its grand reopening Tuesday morning, 18 months after a fire destroyed the building.”The support from the community has just been outstanding, and I really think that’s the push that got us through this. We had no idea how much we meant to the community until we received so many kind messages from them saying how much they missed Oscar’s and that Oscar’s was a memory maker for them, not just a restaurant,” owner Susie Taylor said.The restaurant on Moreland Boulevard, near Swenson Drive, burned to the ground in November 2024. There was almost nothing left of the shop. Oscar’s will be open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and will stay open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
