Viceroy luxury condos coming to Clearwater Beach
Plans for an 86-unit luxury branded condominium on Clearwater Beach were unveiled Thursday. The Viceroy Residences Clearwater Beach, set to open in late 2027, will be the first condo to rise on the beach in over a decade.
The condos will range from $2.5 million to $12 million.
Two nine-story waterfront towers will be built at 551 Gulf Blvd. The land is currently vacant, but from 1963 to 1990, it was home to the Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant.
The developers behind the project, BH3 Management and US Development, purchased the 3.2-acre plot for $24.75 million in February. It was the most expensive vacant lot ever sold on Clearwater Beach.
“Viceroy Residences Clearwater Beach will redefine Gulf-front living in the region, setting a new standard of luxury yet to exist in Clearwater Beach,” John Farina, CEO of U.S. Development said in a media release.
Amenities will include a secluded beach, valet service, a private restaurant, a spa with a steam room, exterior hot and cold plunge pools and a resort-style pool with a sundeck and cabanas.
Inside, the two- and three-bedroom floor plans will range between 2,078 to 3,443 square feet. There will also be larger three-, four- and five-bedroom penthouses, each with their own terraces.
Sales will launch next month and construction is expected to begin late 2025.
After a destructive storm season, creating a hurricane resilient condo is top of mind, Greg Freedman, Co-CEO of BH3 Management said in a statement.
The buildings will stand at a higher elevation and will be made of concrete, with windows capable of withstanding winds of up to 165 mph.
“South Florida has implemented the nation’s strictest building codes, and we believe coastal communities throughout the state should embrace similar standards,” Freedman said. “We have designed our Clearwater Beach project to meet and exceed this level of quality and durability. This development will be built to last.”
