N.J. moving company finds industrial space when the market has very little

Great Moving & Storage has leased 27,484 square feet of industrial space in South Plainfield.

The property, located at 20 Harmich Road, is part of a larger 57,250-square-foot industrial building situated on 4.9 acres.

The transaction happened last week according to a Dec. 19 statement from The Metz Industrial Group of Bussel Realty Corp. which arranged the lease.

“With Class B industrial vacancy hovering at 4 percent, quality options are limited, and 20 Harmich Road was the perfect fit,” said Jordan Metz, principal.

The industrial space features 27-foot, 6-inch-high ceilings, two tailboard loading docks, five drive-in doors, wet sprinklers, 400 amps of electric power and ample parking spaces.

Great Moving & Storage provides local and long-distance moving services along with short and long-term storage solutions in climate-controlled facilities.

Metz, Benito Abbate, senior associate, and James Friel, sales associate, of the Metz Industrial Group represented Great Moving & Storage in the transaction.
