Kushner family firm buys high-rise tower in one of D-FW’s largest recent apartment deals
A New York firm owned by the Kushner family has acquired a high-rise near Southern Methodist University in one of the region’s largest apartment deals in recent years, brokers tell The Dallas Morning News.
Kushner Companies LLC purchased Eastline Residences, a 28-story tower just off U.S. Highway 75 next door to DART’s SMU/Mockingbird rail station, and the adjoining popular retail development.
The seller was Chicago-based Convexity Properties. The transaction hasn’t been recorded in county records yet, but brokers said the deal closed Wednesday evening.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Eric Stockley, Northmarq’s senior vice president of investment sales, said it was the second-largest, single-property apartment deal since late 2022.
The Dallas Central Appraisal District valued the property at roughly $131 million for tax purposes.

“This is definitely a top-10 largest single asset trade on the multifamily side in the last seven years,” he said.
Development on the project started in 2018, when Convexity purchased the adjoining Twin Sixties office tower and hotel.
The luxury high-rise’s 28th floor features a “sky lounge” and an outdoor swimming pool overlooking Dallas and the Park Cities.
Jared Kushner previously served as the firm’s CEO before he left to be a senior adviser to his father-in-law, President Donald Trump, in 2017. Kushner has played a key role in both Trump administrations. The president named Kushner a special peace envoy Thursday.
He maintains a 20% stake in Kushner Companies, worth $560 million in late 2025, Forbes reported.
The multi-generational real estate development and management firm has approximately 10,000 apartments under development and over 27,000 apartments owned in 14 states.
The firm owns more than 2,300 units in Texas. Its other D-FW property is Mansfield On The Green in Mansfield.
Northmarq helped sell and capitalize the deal. Those involved in the transaction include Stockley, Taylor Snoddy, Charles Hubbard, Lauren Bresky and Kevin Leamy.
